You should be able to use it where ever you want to use it? Ntfs has no problems with this filesize, normaly you would install a linux distro on a ext3 device, which has also no problems with this filesize. So i would suggest to reinstall 7zip, decompress it again. Before you move it over to your linux box, check with notepad++ on your windows client if you can read the file.
